About Matthew Kohn

Matthew Kohn directed and produced the feature documentary CALL IT DEMOCRACY a film that explains the American voting system through the lens of the Electoral College, and SITE SPECIFIC: THE LEGACY OF REGIONAL MODERNISM a documentary designed to inspire the architecture community to preserve modern, endangered buildings. He also produced CHARLIE VICTOR ROMEO, the first 3D Feature Film at the Sundance Film Festival. The film re-enacts blackbox recordings. He has shot projects for Laurie Anderson, Amy Khoshbin, Mohammed Fairouz and many other artists. He is currently in the completion stages of a feature documentary film about Manute Bol, the NBA star, focusing on Manute’s historic efforts to create peace in war-torn Sudan. Kohn also hosts a monthly film screening event “Speakeasy Cinema” in NYC awarded Village Voice’s “Best of NY 2016.”
