Fake Confessions conceived & directed by Matt Kohn

Plot: Partygoers are detained and interrogated.

Process: Each actor creates a character that returns to several times throughout the six hour performance. They all perform the same monologue written by Matt Kohn, which is about freedom of political speech. The set is designed to resemble a police interrogation room and 7 real cameras are used to film the performances.

Results: Fake Confessions 1.0 was performed and filmed at the Chashama Gala 2024

Fake Confessions 1.2 Evidence Room was projected at the group show “Spectrum” at the Lorello Gallery in August 2025

Starring: Charles Everett, Michael Wiener, Robert McKeon, Sasha Odesa, Kristin Macke, Will Warren, Keith Kornajack, Aurora Heimbach as the partygoers and Ben Becher, Josefina Scaro, Ring Yuqi Yang as the interrogators.
